Radio Arcadia is a student-led radio collective in Amsterdam fueled by a growing group of people who all feel enthusiastic about its mission: to make Radio Broadcasting as accessible as possible. We like the idea of a medium that can accommodate curiosity for its own sake: strange interests, local culture, music and stories that might otherwise disappear.
Radio, it turns out, is a wonderful way of following curiosities as they appear, and meeting people you would otherwise not meet. Its true beauty lies in the community it creates, somehow magically making Amsterdam feel just slightly less big.

Radio Arcadia is een door studenten geleid radiocollectief in Amsterdam, gedreven door een groeiende groep mensen die allemaal enthousiast zijn over dezelfde missie: radio zo toegankelijk mogelijk maken. We houden van radio als medium omdat het ruimte creëert voor nieuwsgierigheid, bijzondere interesses, lokale cultuur, muziek en verhalen die anders misschien verloren zouden gaan.
Radio is een geweldige excuus om kleine nieuwsgierigheden verder uit te zoeken zodra ze ontstaan en om mensen te ontmoeten die je anders misschien nooit zou tegenkomen. Haar schoonheid zit in de gemeenschap die ze creëert en die Amsterdam op een of andere manier net iets minder groot laat voelen.
